At our winery, it’s not about big buzzwords but about people, craftsmanship and origin. Our wines are born from daily work, experience and careful observation – in the vineyard as much as in the cellar. Behind many of our wines, you’ll find the two of us: Birgit and Gloria Eichinger. Together, we share responsibility and develop the estate step by step.
What shapes us is the interplay of different perspectives. We combine experience, established routines and an open mindset for further development. In this way, we make decisions together, discuss them thoroughly and implement them with calm and consistency. This collaboration isn’t a concept but has evolved over years. It reveals itself in our daily work with the vines as well as in the development of our wines.
Riesling, especially from Ried Heiligenstein, plays a special role for us. This single vineyard demands attention and patience. Soil, exposure and microclimate set the framework – our task is to listen carefully and avoid over-manipulating.
In the vineyard, this means a lot of hands-on work and targeted, deliberate interventions. In the cellar, we work with restraint so that structure, tension and origin remain perceptible in the wine. Our goal is not to impose a style on the single vineyard, but to convey the terroir of Ried Heiligenstein as clearly and authentically as possible in the bottle.
For us, wine isn’t made by quick decisions, but through many small steps. Each single vineyard and each vintage brings its own challenges. That’s exactly what makes the work exciting and requires attention, experience and trust in the process.
What distinguishes our wines isn’t a single action, but the sum of many conscious decisions over the course of the year.
Just a few minutes from us is the LOISIUM Weinwelt Langenlois. There, wine is made tangible in a modern, experimental way – through architecture, spaces and staging.
